Hunter Johnson

Pastor to Young Adults and Media

Hunter is originally from South Carolina, but growing up in a Navy family led him to move around every three years along the East Coast and overseas. Hunter first moved to Tallahassee in 2011. He is married to Allison and they have a daughter, Caroline.

He graduated from the Baptist College of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry (summa cum laude) and from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity in Ministry Leadership. Hunter has served churches in Florida, Alabama, and North Carolina in various capacities, and worked as a full-time middle school writing and Bible teacher in Raleigh, NC while in seminary. After graduating from seminary, Hunter decided to develop his pastoral care ability by becoming a Chaplain Resident at Baptist Hospital Pensacola, where he earned 4 Level I/II units of Clinical Pastoral Education.

Hunter is driven to be a faithful teacher that shares truth from God’s word, a resource to equip God’s people to live out their faith daily, and an outlet to those who are hurting. In his spare time Hunter enjoys spending quality time with family, working out at the gym, watching and playing sports, and enjoying a pour over at the local coffee shop.
