IGNITE Student Ministry

We exist to challenge students to live a Jesus-centered life as they navigate through middle and high school.

Here at Bradfordville, our mission statement is “making disciples, who love upward, inward, and outward.” To accomplish this mission, there are 7 principles that are foundational to seeing our mission lived out in our communities and schools.

  1. Faith on Fire
  2. Spiritual Disciplines
  3. Putting Others First
  4. Making Wise Choices
  5. Having and Maintaining Moral Boundaries
  6. Importance of Healthy Friendships
  7. Ultimate Authority

Weekly Activities

Sunday Morning Groups

9:15 am
On Sunday mornings, IGNITE students meet together in room 304, located on the third floor of the education wing, for a time of fellowship, light breakfast, announcements, prayer, and an opening segment to the lesson for that day. After that, we break up into small groups based on grade and gender, for more discussion of the lesson with their peers and small group leaders. After small groups, students are encouraged to join us for worship at the 10:30 service.

Wednesday Nights

6:00 pm
On Wednesday nights, we have our midweek IGNITE service which meets on the third floor of the education wing. Each week we have a time of worship led by the IGNITE worship band and small groups for all our students. Our Bible Study and small group time, usually involve one of the 7 core principles of our IGNITE Student Ministry. From time to time, we also have guest speakers who will come and share their journey and encourage our students in their walk with Christ. Things get started at 6pm, so come a few minutes early…see you this Wednesday!

IGNITE Summer Camp

2019 Dates (to be determined)

2018 has been a year of being ‘On Mission’ for our student ministry, and this summer we took that to the next level. With our student leaders being challenged to seek out opportunities to be ‘On Mission’ we were able to realize what this looks like in many ways. From our summer camp in Mobile, to our family mission trip to South Florida, our day trips all summer, our worship nights, and our ministry projects, living ‘On Mission’ was something that everyone played a part in. Here is a peek at what happened this summer.

Send South Florida 2018

This summer several of our IGNITE Students, along with many others from Bradfordville FBC, were sent out On Mission to South Florida. During that week, we were able to engage in Vacation Bible School, basketball clinics, door to door prayer and evangelism, community worship, and we even got a chance to take in the famous Miami Beaches for an evening. Below is a recap video of our time spent there, and we hope that it will encourage several more students to be On Mission with us in 2019…as we continue to live out Acts 1:8!

IGNITE Student Ministry can’t happen without the adults that give of their time and resources to make it happen. We are very grateful for our many volunteers and are always looking to add more to our great team. We need small group leaders, adult chaperones, host homes parents, and much more for all of our events throughout the year. If you are interested in learning more information about opportunities to serve, contact Thomas Cooney, Student Pastor, at (850) 893-0893 or tcooney@bradfordville.org.
