#reachFlorida…and Beyond

Our state needs the Gospel! Our city needs Jesus! Our vision statement is about making disciples that love upward, inward, and outward. How can you and I love people in our city, in our state, and around the world? One way to reach Florida, and the world for Christ is to give to the Maguire 2016 State Mission Offering.

How is God using Florida Baptists and the offering to make a kingdom difference? The theme for this year’s offering is “#reachFlorida…And Beyond.” The Great Commission calls God’s people to go and make disciples of all nations, meaning spread the Good News to the end of the earth (Mt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).

What’s the spiritual landscape of our state? According to the Florida Baptist Convention, “Of the 20 million people calling the Sunshine State home, nearly 75 percent do not have faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. From rural, moss-covered towns to teeming cities with diversity of culture and language; from thriving farmlands to some of the world’s most stunning beach communities, Floridians need the hope found in the message of Christ.”
Our gifts to the Maguire 2016 State Mission Offering will fund these 16 ministries:

  • International – $245,000 | Haiti, Eastern Cuba, Western Cuba
  • North America – $55,000 | West Virginia, Montreal
  • Florida – $530,000 | Church Site Loans, Health Ministries, Disaster Relief, Children’s Camp, College Missions, Jail and Prison Ministry, Regional Ministry, Internationals, Migrant Ministries, Mobile Dental, Publicity
  • 2016 Goal – $830,000

Dr. Tommy Green, Executive Director-Treasurer of the Florida Baptist Convention said, “Join with me in praying, giving, and going as together we can reach Florida, and beyond.”

Will you and I take Dr. Green’s invitation? May Bradfordville be known as a church that prays, gives, and goes!

Our offering goal is $8,000. You can give throughout September. Offering envelopes are in the pew racks. I realize that we’ve asked you to give offering after offering lately. Special events have been in close proximity. Thank you for being flexible and generous!

We’ll talk more about personal evangelism in the Sanctuary tomorrow night at 6:00 pm. I look to seeing you Sunday morning in Bible study and worship.

What a joy to be at a church that’s “Experiencing God!”

Seeking to Reach Florida…And Beyond,
Pastor Ronny
