In another strategic staff expansion designed to enhance Bradfordville First Baptist Church’s “inward, upward, and outward focus on Jesus Christ,” BFBC welcomes Rick Stewart as its new Discipleship and Administration Pastor.
Stewart, a BFBC member since October 2010 and a Sunday School teacher and choir member, will focus on the development of the Sunday School experience, small groups ministries, and leadership training.
“I’m thankful to have Rick Stewart join our ministry team,” said Senior Pastor Dr. Ronny Raines.
“Rick brings a high level of energy, excitement, and experience to the position. As a church, Rick will help us make disciples who love God, one another, and people in our city and around the world.”
Stewart, whose last ministerial assignment was as Regional Chaplain of Covenant Hospice in Tallahassee, wants to help build on the momentum he sees at BFBC. “Clearly, these are exciting times in the life of our Church and in my new role I am eager to contribute to BFBC’s God-given mission.”
A graduate of the University of West Florida with a BA in Social Sciences, Stewart earned his Master’s Degree in Religious Education from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He was ordained in 1989 and has worked in education and administration for churches in Tallahassee, Deland (FL), and New Orleans.
